Should We Help Strangers?
Helping strangers has always been considered as a treasured virtue of human kind .We need help from others throughout our life, whenever we travel to other places or stay at home .On the other hand, helping others can make us happy .We feel great joy when we are trusted, needed and able to give a hand.
However ,some people are cautious when it comes to helping strangers .They say that

Meanwhile, we should beware of getting cheated and use common sense to tell whether the strangers are real needed people or just professional cheats .Detecting anything unusual, we should defend ourselves or turn to the police.

Every since, the World Climate Conference was held in Copenhagen, the term
“low-carbon lifestyle” has become a buzzword in our daily life .Everyone ,old or young ,is taking about it and exerting himself to achieve the low-carbon goal of low-carbon lifestyle.
What on earth is low-carbon lifestyle? Low-carbon lifestyle means to lower the emission of carbon, especially carbon dioxide, by reducing the energy we use in our daily life. With the increasing use of cell phones, spam message has become a heated issue. According to a survey, on average, people receive about 40 pieces of spam message per month. Spam message may disturb, confuse, or even threaten people at any time.
Generally, there are two reasons for the spam epidemic. On one hand, due to the fact that text message is a comparatively cheap channel, many companies take advantage of it to advertise their products or services. To solve the problem of spam message, relative authorities and professionals should make joint efforts. me, I believe at least three factors account for this issue.
They aim to gain more money at the expense of consumers’ health. Second, the overuse
excessive pesticide bears enormous health hazard for people. Furthermore, some food producers inject hormones into domestic animals so as to make them grow more quickly and thus they can turn in more profit. As a result, people’s health has been seriously disturbed.
All in all, food safety is such a great concern, and we all should establish laws and implement them effectively to avoid producing toxic foods.

Nowadays, it is not rare to learn that some universities have lowered their admission
requirements for celebrity students. Some people object strongly to this admission pattern, holding that it damages the basic rule of fairness in education. In addition, they argue that it would be an insult to college education if a person academically unqualified was admitted.
For other ,however ,this practice is reasonable .For one thing ,they say ,since a celebrity has made significant contributions to the society ,it is understandable that a university lowers its admission requirements to reward the individual .For another ,celebrity students can be positive role models for their fellow school mates .many of the celebrities are
self-assured ,hardworking ,and persevering and their stories of success can stimulate fellow students to follow their examples.
In my view ,it is a wise move for universities to lower their admission requirements for renowned people .On the part of universities ,it will enhance the universities/ reputation .In a
word ,bending the rule for the celebrities benefits the favored individual ,the student body ,and the university ,so we see no reason to deny it.

Recently, many local governments are considering setting a minimum wage system to ensure college graduates’ vital interests.
Different people hold different views on this matter. Some people insists that it’s necessary to do so. Since local governments have set a minimum wage system for ordinary workers. Why not set one for our social elites --- college graduates? But other people set forth a completely different augument that college graduates’ salary should be determined by the employment market instead of being prescribed by local governments.
Personally, I am inclined to side with the latter opinion. At first, this system is to offer college graduates the privileges, which is impatial to other laborers. Secondly, in the job market, it’s useless to assist college graduates with certain salaries. What local governments should do is to upgrade the teaching quality for college students and let the market decide how much a graduate should “cost”.

Nowadays, it is a difficult choice for the college graduates to decide whether to find a job with high salary or to wait for one with great prospects of career development.

Because of the high living standards in the cities, they believe that only when they earn more money can they live a more comfortable life and seek better development. However, others prefer to have promising prospects of career development so that they can learn more from what they are doing. They hold that proper development of their career will naturally contribute to earning more money in the long run.
In my opinion, it is career development that counts. Although money is essential for our life, career should be the goal of our lifelong pursuit.

With the improvement of blog services and the influence of some “star bloggers”, most of whom are celebrities, blog is becoming an important way for people to express themselves and communicate with others. Now, more and more people start to use blog services.
However, blogs might give rise to some problems as well. Some bloggers would express their thoughts and ideas by writing them down in the blogs rather than communicate with their friends or family members. Day by day, blogs tend to draw people away from real life. What’s worse, lack of face-to-face communication with others might isolate bloggers from the society, which would do harm to their mental health.
In my view, blog is a good platform for people to show their personal experiences and
communicate with others. However, bloggers should adjust the time and avoid spending the whole day on blogging. After all, sitting in front of the cold screen for long does no good to their health, physically and mentally.

Most countries in the world have harsh laws aimed at penalizing drunk driving. But until recent years, drunk driving was rampant in China, due to weak legal provisions and enforcement. The past decade has witnessed tremendous increase in the number of motor vehicles, most of which are private cars. The lack of legal traditions targeted at drunk driving and people's lack of legal awareness have given rise alarming traffic casualties as a result of drunk driving.
Drunk driving has created traffic accidents whose implications extend far beyond the
traffic realm. In many cases, the drunken drivers are high-ranking government officials or wealthy businessmen who could use their influence, privileges, connections and bribes to get off
unpunished. This has occasioned serious social problems because justice is not done and the value of the lives of ordinary people is not duly respected. Those problems in turn contribute to the already widening inequalities between the poor and the rich in the Chinese society, to such an extent that only the institution and the enforcement of the most stringent laws can answer to the rising public complaints.
According to the law introduced since May 1 this year, anybody guilty of drunk driving would be severely fined, subjected to a 6-month detention, and deprived of his driving license. I am totally in favor of this law because it has dramatically reduced cases of drunk driving. Having committed drunk driving, wealthy businessmen, high-ranking government officials, and celebrated
musicians have been arrested, sued for criminal offenses, and sentenced. All these indicate that no one is above law, which ruthlessly enforced, would benefit all of us.

Nowadays instant marriage has become a kind of fashion among young couples, who tend to establish the marital relationship in a very short time. They are called “instant marriage group”. Facing this trend, some people hold a positive attitude that marriage is a matter of two people, who are free to decide when they enter the bonds of matrimony. But there are some people who are against this behavior. They insist it’s irrational and irresponsible to rush into marriage
As far as I’m concerned, instant marriage isn’t wise. A long and happy marriage should be based on mutual understanding and true love, both of which require the test of time. Without a necessary period of mutual understanding and trust, more instant marriages may end in flash divorce. Marriage is a holy thing to a couple and should be taken seriously but not hastily. Therefore, instant marriage shouldn’t be encouraged.
五. Online Learning or Traditional Learning?

In the modern society, online learning becomes more and more pervasive and useful. But it has sparked a heated debate: which is better, online learning or traditional learning?
Some people insist that the mode of online learning is better. As first, learning online allows the learner to learn at his or her own speed. Then students don’t have to waste time on what they have known. As last, an online learner can study more flexibly, like rereading any material or replay any video anytime he or she is interested in. However, some people are still in favor of traditional learning. Firstly, in traditional classes, students can interact with other students and teachers. Secondly, teachers’ supervision can guarantee students’ efficiency of learning. At last, traditional learning is more systematic.
In my view, both online learning and traditional learning have their own advantages and disadvantages. Although virtual classroom can never take place of actual classroom, it can facilitate traditional learning and make the latter more interesting.
